Our Beliefs |
 |
|
God:
We believe the doctrine of the Triune God.
The Trinity being composed of God the Father, God the Son, and God The Holy Spirit.
We believe the Deity of Jesus Christ.
The Bible:
We believe in the infallible verbal inspiration of the Whole Bible and that it contains the Whole Word and Counsel of God.
Thus we believe in the Virgin Birth of Jesus Christ, the Genesis account of creation, in the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ and the future bodily resurrection of His saints.
We believe that the New Testament is the all-sufficient rule of faith and practice for the church’s system of worship and administration. That we acknowledge it as the only source of God’s sanctioned authority.
The Gospel:
We believe that the Gospel of Christ is a gospel of purity, love, redemption and grace.
That as a Church of Christ’s and as individuals in His Church we are to conduct our lives by this Gospel and its commandments.
And further we are to bear testimony of this Gospel to all men everywhere.
Salvation:
We believe the doctrine of the Crucifixion and Suffering of Jesus Christ as Vicarious and Substitutionary for the forgiveness of sins, life eternal, and the new birth as a child of God.
That there is no other means of Salvation or remission of sins available to man.
That man is saved by faith alone apart from any works of the flesh or what may be regarded as works of righteousness.
That at no time under any circumstance will any saved person ever suffer punishment for their sins.
Hell:
We believe the doctrine of eternal punishment in an eternal place identified by the scriptures as the Lake of Fire for the unrepentant.
This will be the fate of all lost mankind who have never accepted but ejected the salvation provided by the blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross.
Church:
We believe in the perpetuity of the New Testament Church from the days of Christ, preceding the day of Pentecost, until His bodily return. That the church, which Jesus Christ instituted, has not and will not ever cease in its existence.
We believe that the Church is the Bride of Christ, the House of God, the pillar and ground of The Truth and The Holy Spirit abides in the Church in a manner which no other institution or individual may ever attain.
We believe that for a church to be scriptural she must not have fallen into apostasy and that her linage is from New Testament origin. That Jesus Christ Himself founded the church during His physical existence on earth. That she abides obedient to the commandments of Christ in doctrine and practice. That she has no other head other than Jesus Christ.
We believe that the Church is local and visible. We reject the universal visible (Catholic) and the universal invisible (Protestant) church doctrines.
We believe The Great Commission was given to His Churches and that only His Churches have the authority to administer the ordinances.
We believe that Church Membership consists of legitimately baptized believers covenanted together in unity of purpose and dedication to the Will of God and reject the notion that all the saved are in the Church of Jesus Christ.
The Church Ordinances:
We believe that legitimate baptism can only be administered by the authority of a Scriptural Church and is by immersion only. That baptism is offered only to those who have been saved and have the desire to obediently serve God in His Church. That the act of baptism is not a work of securing salvation or the forgiveness of sins.
We believe that The Lord’s Supper can only be administered by a Scriptural Church to her own members. That the elements of The Lord’s Supper are unleavened bread and the fruit of the vine. That the taking of The Lord’s Supper is not a work of securing salvation or the forgiveness of sins, but is wholly a memorial service of Christ, His sacrifice and belief of His return.
Spiritual Gifts:
We believe that only the following three Spiritual Gifts are in effect this day: The Gift of Faith, The Gift of Hope, and The Gift of Love.
Judgment:
That all men, lost or saved, will face God in His Judgment. We believe in the free agency of man to accept or reject the things of God according to his own free will. That in keeping with this doctrine is the accountability of all men for their actions and beliefs of Him.
We believe that the judgment of all men is the exclusive right of God and that He alone will judge. That we are not to infringe or usurp God’s sovereignty in the matter by executing our judgment upon individuals. That no persecution, harm, grief or injury in any form should ever be intentionally imposed upon those with whom there is disagreement. That as disciples of Christ we owe the debt of godly love and edification to all men equally.
